Ed Sheeran's A team, music video, is conventional to an acoustic music videos as it shows a narrative structure, acoustic videos show narrative through video. This video shows the narrative structure backwards, throughout the video the story unravels, this allows it to be appealing to the audience as it makes them want to watch the video to find out what is going to happen. The close up shot at the beginning shows the emotion of the girl within the shot, form this the audience can see that the girl is upset, this echo's the nature of the song, as it is acoustic. which is slow paced music. the camera is unsteady, documentary style, this makes the music video realistic. The camera then cuts to a close up of a dead girl, the close up adds dramatic effect, which echos the situation. the shot then fades out, this could represent how she faded out of life (how she died) the video is shot in black and white, dull lighting and black and white contrasting is conventional to genre of acoustic, therefore the video is conventional.

we then see a wide shot of a women laid on a bench, we get the idea that the women is poor or homeless, as the mise-en-scene shows her dressed in a hoodie, which is stereotypically 'chavy and criminal' and also she is wrapped within a blanket, this suggests she has stayed on the bench overnight, the trees within the background suggest that she is in a park, there is also a rubbish truck within the shot this could represent how she is worthless, like rubbish. Te video then jump cuts to the rhythm of the song. the women within the shot then walks through the trees, as the camera tracks her ina  documentary style, this makes it seem like a point of view shot, it also makes the video more realistic.

the audience are then shown a wide shot of the women with her arms out, in the shape of a cross, she is looking up at the sky, this has regional reference, and as we have just seen the women within the shot dead, this could represent her giving herself to God.

We then see a low shot of a high street, then we are shown a low shot of the women, although we cannot see her all, we are looking at her from below and because of this  the main focus is her chin, this could represent how other people view her, as people do not view her clearly.
We then see a wide shot of the women within a blanket selling magazines in the street, we are then shown the artist himself, Ed Sheeran, he approaches the women and buys a magazine from her, this is representing the artist in positive way, which makes him likable towards the audience. however we are not shown performance throughout the period of time when we see the artist, furthermore he is not conveying himself fto be the artist within the music video.
We are then shown a wide shot of the women out side of 'Angel station' this is ironic as we know later, she will die, and steryotpyical angles are dead, this again reinforces the religious references. It may also suggest she is actually good although she is perceived as bad, through mise-en-scene. The song lyrics also echo this "for angles to fly"
this wide shot within the video, again reinforces the religious references throughout.
we then see a mid-shot of the women form backwards, within the middle of the road, she is placed within railings. The cars are fastened up, this could represents her life passing her by, (she is dieing) also the railing suggest that she is stuck, and cannot do anything about her life passing by. to reinforce this point the video then cuts to a wide shot showing her within the high street with people walking by, again the people are fastened up, again showing her life passing her by.
the camera then cuts to a close up of the women's face, by showing this in a close up it shows her emotional state, and we are shown her crying, the song is emotional so this echos the close up shots used within the video.
the film then cuts to the women looking in a mirror, she ties up her her, and wipes her mucky make up from the night before from under her eyes, she then replaces it with more fresh makeup. make up is use to make women and men feel more secure about there self's, therefore this reflects how insecure she is about her self.
we then see  a dark, medium shot of her stood by a roadside as car pulls up, she walks towards it and takes off her coat, she then gets in the car and the camera shows a light up train and car, following the same direction as the one the women has just got in, we are then shown a low angle of a white, rich hallway, The white rich hallway could represent heaven, this reinforces the religious elements and also reflects that she is going to die.
The camera then cuts to a bedroom where the women is with a man, although we do not see the mans face, the audience is then shown a mid-shot of the mans chest, and from it the women takes some money from his pocket, we then realise that the women is prostituting herself, we are then shown a close-up of the womens face, this is so we can see her emotional, she is upset, and crying, later the audience see her exchange the money for drugs, the begining of the music video then begings to unravel as we see how she becomes to be dead, we then see her die, and the same clip of her at the beging is shown again, to end the video.
